Hey, I’m Carter! I’m a hairstylist and barber specializing in short cuts, fades, clipper work, mullets, shags, beards, and lived-in, low-maintenance hair. After an incredible chapter building my business in the East Village, I’ve made the move back to Scissors & Scotch in West Des Moines — a bit of a full-circle moment for me, since it’s where I started my career behind the chair. If you’ve been a client of mine at Van Hair Collective, don’t worry — I’m still finishing all appointments that are already scheduled there through 10/15/2026 After that, I’d absolutely love to have you in my chair at Scissors & Scotch.
